FiO+LS 2020 and Quantum 2.0

Aided by an upgraded, interactive interface, OSA’s long-standing annual conference—and a brand-new one focused on emerging quantum technologies—went all-virtual in September 2020.

In a way, the event was as familiar as the turn of the leaves in autumn: the yearly Frontiers in Optics+Laser Science (FiO+LS) conference, which jointly encompasses the annual meetings of The Optical Society (OSA) and the American Physical Society (APS) Division of Laser Science. But, as befits an unprecedented year, this was no ordinary conference.
