OSA Fellow Sir John Pendry reports that the U.S. National Academy of Sciences is seeking candidates for its prestigious 2021 Award for Scientific Discovery. The award recognizes an accomplishment in basic research within the past five years with significant expected impact on astronomy, materials science or physics.
