Congratulations to OSA Fellows Andrea Alù, City University of New York, USA, and Siddharth Ramachandran, Boston University, USA, for being selected as 2019 Class Vannevar Bush Faculty Fellows. The highly competitive U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) fellowship is the DoD’s flagship single-investigator award for basic research, aiming to advance transformative, university-based fundamental research. Each fellow will receive up to US$3 million over the five-year fellowship term to pursue cutting-edge fundamental research projects.
