Acousto-Optical Laser Systems for the Formation of Television Images

The authors have produced a current Russian research monograph on acousto-optical laser systems for the formation of television images. This book should be of interest to graduate students and scientists involved with acousto-optical laser systems and advanced optical material like para-tellurite crystals, also known as tellurium dioxide (TeO2).

Beyond the development of laser television display systems, through either pulsed or solid-state lasers, the reader is introduced to acousto-optical devices for the modulation and reflection of light beams. In particular, the authors compare isotropic and anisotropic media for light scattering phenomena. Furthermore, the diffraction of plane light waves by ultrasound in an anisotropic gyrotropic TeO2 crystal are carefully analyzed and simulated.

This excellent research monograph also addresses the product development and optimization with copper vapor lasers. The authors provide a perspective on synchronous illumination of underwater objects and systems using full-color pulsed solid-state lasers.
