The Optical Society and SPIE are pleased to announce that the 2010 Joseph W. Goodman Book Writing Award recipients are Lihong V. Wang and Hsin-I Wu for their book Biomedical Optics: Principles and Imaging. This biennial award is funded by a personal gift from Joseph W. and Hon Mai Goodman. It recognizes a recent and outstanding book in optics and photonics that has contributed significantly to research, teaching or the optics and photonics industry. This year, the award will be bestowed upon Wang and Wu at the SPIE Optics and Photonics Meeting in August 2010 in San Diego.
