On 26 October, Optica Publishing Group published the first issue of its newest peer-reviewed, Gold Open Access journal, Optica Quantum. This addition expands Optica’s diverse portfolio of 19 peer-reviewed journals, offering a dedicated space for high-impact research in quantum information science and technology (QIST) enabled by optics and photonics. Its scope includes theoretical and experimental work on fundamental quantum science and enabling technologies. The journal publishes original research articles, invited reviews, perspectives, tutorials, comments and replies. The inaugural issue holds five research articles and a perspective paper.
