Radiation in Medicine and Biology

This book provides an updated outlook on the conventional applications of radiation, from radio waves to UV and gamma-ray, in the context of therapy and effects of ionizing radiation to biological systems. As part of this update, the medical use of radiation such as DBX dosimetry, cobalt-60 tomotherapy, RF electrotherapy, fractional radiotherapy, and radiobiological effects are also covered. Two new contributions made by this edited book are the discussions on emerging applications of nanoparticles and hypergravity.
