I would recommend this book to both Ph.D. students and newcomers in the field of information photonics. The book will eventually help readers gain insight into the concept of photonic information processing as a system, as well as of photonic devices as system components— which are relevant to quantum communication, computation and smart pattern recognition. This book may also serve as a useful text for an informal seminar or a graduate course on nanophotonic devices and systems.
