The authors of this monograph have previously published two books on multiwave-mixing processes and coherent control of four-wave-mixing. The present volume aims to present new and additional works on these topics, and offers a deeper discussion of previously published papers. The treatment is indeed very detailed, with extensive mathematical expressions included in the text. Each chapter has a short abstract which occasionally seem reminiscent of that of a journal paper. Given the research focus of the book, it is slightly surprising that a small number of problems are included at the end of most chapters.
This text, supported by the two previous volumes published by the authors, will bring readers to the forefront of activity in this field. It is not an easy read, but it is worth the effort to engage with these themes.
