High Resolution Optical Satellite Imagery

This descriptive overview of satellite imagery is an interesting snapshot of current and retired hardware and software technologies. The authors describe and compare satellite systems. They also introduce the major issues and challenges involved in creating distortion-free maps and images of ever-higher resolution. Optical scientists will be most interested in the before and after photos which show the effects of image processing. This recommended book begins with a thorough list of abbreviations.
