Autonomous vehicles, lidar sensing, augmented reality, the Internet of Things (IoT) everywhere and anywhere—these are just a few of the applications of today and tomorrow that require access to big data and low-latency decision-making storage, access and networks. Only optical-fiber networks can manage such high data transport. But for how long?
