“In the summer of 1986 a new Optics Gallery opened at the Science Museum in South Kensington, London ... We rented a flat nearby last October and recommend that you do the same ... OSA members will certainly want to see the Optics Gallery, but it is unlikely to be what they remember later or revisit. The problem is fundamental—namely, the interesting science of an optical instrument is buried inside the housing and doesn’t display well.”
