Kyrgyzstan is a country of extraordinary beauty and contradictions composed of a variety of ethnic groups and languages. A place of temperature extremes: in the winter sub-zero readings accompany snow and ice over the landscape while in the summer readings soar above 40 °C. Amid a landscape filled with high mountains and waterfalls, glaciers, rivers and forests, the Kyrgyzstan people work toward advancing their industrial and scientific capabilities and infrastructures. They also provide the warmest hospitality to their country’s visitors.
