Organic Electro-Optics and Photonics: Molecules, Polymers and Crystals

This is a book dedicated to linear and nonlinear phenomena and devices based on organic materials. The first four chapters are focused on fundamental phenomena such as Pockel’s effect and electro-optic materials, and nonlinear optics and associated organic materials. In the next three chapters, more exotic materials, such as self-assembled materials, and organic crystalline materials, such as ionic crystals, are analyzed for electro-optic effects. Then, in the last chapters of the book the applications in photonics are studied.

The book is very clearly written and is beautifully illustrated. It deserves to be read by anybody working in photonics.
