Introduction to Imaging from Scattered Fields

The central objective of this text is to present an overview of the generic problem of determining information about an object by measuring its scattered field. This self-contained book explores the merits of using inverse methods for weak scattering, for example, Fourier-based signal and image processing techniques and nonlinear filtering. There are numerous illustrations of the different algorithms using MATLAB® code.  This book will be most useful to readers that already have an understanding of basic electromagnetic principles and some background in Fourier analysis. It has gone straight to the top of my recommended reading list for students interested in the fundamental theory of waves and inverse scattering.
