Embedded and Networking Systems: Design, Software and Implementation

An embedded system is a computer system designed for specific control functions within a larger system. This book successfully combines two fields: embedded systems (processors, software design and implementation technique) and networking systems (sensor networks). The first section starts with DSP architecture for embedded systems and advances to co-synthesis techniques, error detection, software optimization techniques, power management for RTOS and a detailed examination of embedded processor performance. The second part of the book explores networking of embedded systems and applications to wireless sensor networks, and addresses various types of structures and sensor networks covering mobile sensor networks.

This book is a helpful resource for system designers, graduate researchers and academics. It gives readers a better understanding of system level design techniques, covering both hardware and software, and an emerging telecommunications technology.
