Complexity and the Arrow of Time

The aim of this book is to find answers to a very difficult question: What is complexity? Is it increasing or not? An impressive list of physicists, biologists and philosophers try to provide answers, but their theories are not straightforward. This text will not be the last in the quest to resolve these questions. After introducing the topic of complexity, the editors move on to cosmological and physical perspectives of the problem under study. The latter part of the book covers biological complexity and concludes with a discussion of philosophical perspectives. This is an outstanding and thought-provoking book. Everyone should read it in order to understand the world in which we live.
