CMOS/CCD Sensors and Camera Systems, 2nd ed.

Gerald C. Holst and Terrence S. Lomheim

SPIE Press, 2011; $96.00 (hardcover).

CMOS/CCD Sensors and Camera Systems is a completely revised version of a previously published book. CMOS/CCD sensors technology is a quickly developing field, and many new developments are discussed in this updated edition. Engineers who need comprehensive working knowledge of the subject area are the primary audience. The book is logically structured. The first part is devoted to introductory topics like radiometry, photometry and CCD and CMOS fundamentals. The second part contains a detailed analysis of all necessary aspects of successful camera system design. The book has many helpful diagrams and tables and a comprehensive bibliography at the end of each chapter.
