The general method of integral equations (MIE) is developed for arbitrary nonlinear and anisotropic medium, taking into account quadrupole and magnetic-dipole radiation. The main idea of this generalization stems from the supposition that microscopic (local) fields E and H must satisfy
the macroscopic wave equation.
