At ACOFT 2010 in Melbourne, Australia, Mark Turner of Swinburne University received the OSA-Australian Optical Society best student paper prize. During Photonics 2010 in Guwahati, India, OSA President Chris Dainty presented best student paper awards to Mohiudeen Azhar of the Max Planck Institute in Erlangen, Germany, and Somnath Ghosh, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India.
