Each year, OSA jointly sponsors two Congressional Fellows—one in conjunction with SPIE, the International Society for Optics and Photonics and the other with the Materials Research Society (MRS). The 2009 Fellows Amit Mistry and Robert Saunders work in the offices of Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) and Rush Holt (D-N.J.), respectively.
